“Luoluo, your cooking is really amazing. Where did you learn it? I think you’re even better than those professional chefs.”
Bai Xingluo pursed his cold lips, his response contrasting sharply with his indifferent exterior.
“You haven’t answered my question.”
Tong Sui’s attempt to change the topic was too awkward.
“I’m thinking about you.”
“What about me? Am I not right in front of you?”
“Ah, please don’t ask too many questions.”
Bai Xingluo chuckled lightly, placing the fried dishes into a plate. The little robot nearby obediently extended its mechanical hand to assist, and Bai Xingluo placed the plate on the tray.
Feeling the weight on the tray, the small robot’s wheels rolled as it clumsily announced, “Doo doo doo, it’s time for dinner!”
It could find the dining table by itself, set down the dishes, and then slowly return to the kitchen, settling back into its corner.
“Mission accomplished!”
Tong Sui found it rather cute and became intrigued, casually taking an eggplant to add to the tray.
A puzzled expression appeared on the robot’s screen.
“This cannot be eaten raw; I am searching for a suitable menu for you! Here are the options—”
“Wow, that’s impressive.”
Tong Sui was having a great time, completely unaware of Bai Xingluo’s serious expression as he seemed to be contemplating their future together.
Tong Sui realized he had inadvertently walked into a den of wolves all by himself, foolishly offering himself up.
A table full of fragrant dishes soon arrived.
As Tong Sui inhaled the aroma, he felt genuinely hungry. Compared to the extravagant atmosphere, he preferred the simplicity of just two people sitting across from each other at a small dining table.
The food smelled extraordinarily delicious.
Tong Sui didn’t have to put on any pretense or disguise; his cheeks puffed up like a little hamster.
After taking a satisfying bite, he looked up to praise Bai Xingluo, only to see him standing again.
“Aren’t you hungry?”
Bai Xingluo replied, “Not hungry, you filled me up earlier.”
“What did I make you eat?”
Tong Sui innocently asked, and when Bai Xingluo revealed the answer, he nearly choked. “You must be joking. Mental soothing can’t be a substitute for food…”
“It really can.”
For the insectoids, eating was not as urgent. With the soothing mental energy from the male insect, it could be more beneficial than regular food or nutrients.
Bai Xingluo continued, “If you don’t believe me, let me try it a few more times, and you’ll see.”
Tong Sui felt his face grow hot from embarrassment.
“And you’re a top-class male insect; what you provide me is not just a sense of fullness. I feel a tranquility in my mental sea that I’ve never experienced before, and it even seems to have expanded a little.”
Most of Bai Xingluo’s tragic experiences were related to his mental energy going out of control.
Tong Sui pondered.
This also unwittingly resolved a part of the hidden dangers.
Tong Sui pulled out the chair closest to him.
“Then why don’t you sit down? Doesn’t it hurt to stand?”
Bai Xingluo sat down.
However, the moment he made contact with the chair, he seemed to frown slightly, and that emotion quickly vanished.
But Tong Sui noticed. “Is the chair uncomfortable?”
“It’s fine.” Bai Xingluo diverted the topic, serving Tong Sui more dishes, “Make sure to eat a bit more.”
“Don’t hide it if you’re uncomfortable.”
Tong Sui recalled that Bai Xingluo had acted completely normal until he sat down, when he revealed a slight hint of expression.
“You’re…”
His gaze swept over Bai Xingluo, and Bai Xingluo instantly closed his legs together.
“Don’t worry, it’s just a small issue.”
Tong Sui, no matter how dense he was, realized where the problem lay.
“I’m sorry, I hurt you.”
Because Bai Xingluo had acted too normally, he hadn’t even considered this issue due to his lack of experience.
“Lord, it’s not your fault.” Bai Xingluo replied, “And I’m not injured, just a bit swollen.”
Bai Xingluo didn’t want to bring it up because it was something he had indulged in.
Military females were known for their robust constitution and resistance.
But the hardware of the male master was far superior to that of ordinary male insects, and since he was more of a theoretical type, minor issues might arise.
He didn’t want to give the master the impression that he was weak and needed protection; with his current recovery capacity, he wouldn’t even need medication—he would be fine in just a few hours.
But he didn’t expect Tong Sui to be so observant; the one thing he couldn’t hide was discovered.
“Can I take a look at it?”
Bai Xingluo’s heart leaped.
He had never heard of a male insect expressing concern for a female after she was injured; they were often ruthless in such matters, finding joy in cruelty.
So when Tong Sui made that request, Bai Xingluo was stunned for quite a while before he registered it.
“No need to bother; it’ll be fine soon.” Bai Xingluo said, “You don’t need to be so nice to me. I’m already lucky to be by your side.”
“But you are good to me, and I want to be good to you too.”
Tong Sui skillfully found the medicine cabinet, opened it, and rummaged around to find the supplied ointment, which had not been unsealed before and was still fresh.
“This!”
Tong Sui held up a small tube of ointment, and Bai Xingluo reached out to take it, only to have Tong Sui evade him.
Bai Xingluo asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
“I know you; you definitely won’t apply the medicine properly, right?”
Bai Xingluo, who was entirely in agreement, said nothing.
Tong Sui unwrapped the ointment package, blushing as he cleared his throat.
“So, you choose. Do you want me to help you or will you do it yourself? I’ll supervise you from the side.”
